Is there a book on your bucket list?
Is there a story lurking deep within you that you are itching to write and sell? The Writers’ Federation of New Brunswick (WFNB) invites you to a workshop that is sure to inform and even inspire wannabe authors on Saturday, June 16, in Fredericton. Participants will learn what publishers are looking for when considering manuscripts for publication from workshop leaders Susanne Alexander, Goose Lane editions publisher and Bethany Gibson, the literary agency’s fiction editor. Participants will also receive tips on how to prepare manuscripts, as well as the dos and don’ts of manuscript submissions and query letters. The two-hour workshop will begin at 10 a.m. at the Wilmot United Church, 473 King Street, Fredericton, and will precede WFNB’s AGM at noon. The workshop is free for WFNB members and $20 for non-members. (Annual WFNB membership is only $40 so join today and attend the workshop at no charge.) To register for the workshop, email info@wfnb.ca. Now in its 27th year, with close to 300 members, WFNB is the only organization in the Province that represents and supports the interests of writers of all genres, at all stages of their development…from Rayanne Brennan, WFNB president.
